First Litter for Martha (Reeds Fowlings Alexia).

When developing a long term breeding plan you need to have a `Plan A` and then as events pan out over time you often find that `Plans B & C come into play. This was one instance where we could stick to `Plan A`. Originally brought into the UK from Holland in December 2012, Martha(Reeds Fowling Alexia) had the potential to be mated with Ooli (Novaforesta Dudley) at some point in the future providing all the relevant health, character and conformation checks were met.

In the intervening years, Ooli has proven himself to be an able stud and Martha has passed all her health checks, has a temperament to melt any heart and to cap it all has proven herself to be a capable gundog, regularly working on a local shoot.

Martha`s pups were born on 13th February 2015 after a straightforward labour. The litter of six puppies comprised five females and one male. Despite Martha being brown, the pups took after their father and four are black with white patches and two black and white. The pups all had a good birth weight and Martha quickly proved to be a capable and attentive mother.
